There are not a lot of wind energy projects that are able to obtain the necessary funding that they need in order to begin converting places from regular energy sources to wind powered sources. However with the falling costs of turbine, steel and labor prices being extremely low there is room for small wind energy projects to begin emerging. Although North America is not a particular place in the world that is trying to take advantage of wind energy, it can actually serve everyone justice. Small wind energy projects are beginning to spring up all over the United States as people are desperately trying to find different means that they can service their homes and other places with the amount of energy that they need without having to pay an excessively high amount of money in order to do so. You may begin to notice a lot of smaller wind energy projects commencing. These projects normally range between 100 KW to 30 MW. They can be utilized to serve schools, farms, and small rural villages with energy. Because the people that are deciding to commence in smaller projects can receive funding from different places they are less vulnerable to the
credit crisis that many large scale wind farms having to face in this tough economy. Many colleges and other smaller places around the United States are actually pitching in; so many small wind farm projects can begin commencing. In fact in North Carolina, students adamantly agreed that they would all pay an additional $5.00 on top of their tuition to help with the small wind farm project that the school was trying to enforce. Many larger companies are actually looking at selling their turbines in order to help small wind energy projects prosper. As many wind farms are finding that their funding is growing smaller and smaller every year they are substantially strapped for cash and looking for any way to still be able to make their wind farms successful. It's really depressing in a sense that people have found a way to make a clean and natural source of energy available for everyone, yet the Government does not see any reason to try to keep the projects running. With the economic crisis taking a lot of funds away from the wind energy market a lot of larger farmers are trying to find a means to help smaller wind farms get started. If everyone could convert over to wind farms we would inadvertently all save so much money and help the environment out as well. It seems as if the Government truly does not understand that regardless of the lack of funds, wind energy projects are going to continue, and they will not be responsible for any of the progress. |
